How Much Does a Class A Motorhome Weigh?
Class A motorhomes are the heaviest style, weighing an average of 33000-36000 pounds. The weight obviously varies with different models and makes, as some 40 feet long Class A RVs can weigh more than 40,000 pounds.
What is the Average Height of a Class A Motorhome?
Knowing the height of your RV is important, as many bridges, campgrounds, gas stations and winter storage facilities have height restrictions. Class A motorhomes have an average height of 10-12 feet, but remember that is before the addition of air conditioning units and satellites.

The gas tank size of Class A motorhomes range from 80 to 150 gallons, with the most common fuel tank capacity being 80 gallons. As long as you have a regular Class 5 licence, you are allowed to drive almost any size of RV, provided it’s not equipped with air brakes. This half-day program will help new (and experienced) RVers strengthen their skills when manoeuvring an RV or towing or trailer.
